Mark appears in this tree as an individual with no links to other family members.
This is because Mark's untimely death has left living relatives in generations both
above and below him who are excluded from the tree.
As you will see below, Mark
joined the Royal Navy at an early age and served on several ships during his career.
Perhaps the most famous ship in the list is HMS Hydra and Mark was aboard when she was sent
to the South Atlantic as a Hospital ship during the Falkland's War. Mark was deeply affected by
his experiences in the Falkland's and would probably be diagnosed with what we would call today
"Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" or PTSD. He left the Royal Navy in 1988 and worked closely with
the local Cadet Force until his death.
Part of the purpose of this site is to ensure that those that pass before us will continue to be remembered, and
in some small way this page is our tribute to a cousin who is still missed.
