The following information was kindly provided by Samantha Martin on the 30th October 2004.
"Following further research I have updated my tree, including my gran's date of birth, maiden name
and year of death.
This indicates that my mum (Terri) had her fathers surname but I do not know if her parents were married.
I know my mum never had contact with her father, she always believed he was an american soldier,
because someone once told her her name was American! Not sure that this helps you at all but I will
continue to research!!"
Terri's father was clearly not an American but was a soldier. Her mother (Sadie Grundy) is not linked at the top of this page because, notwithstanding Samantha's reference to her grandmother's
year of death, I have not confirmed this for myself as yet, and as such she is still treated as a potentially living person
for the purposes of this website. Terri's grandparents can however be found in the Name Index as Willie and
Sarah Gundry.
I do have further information and would be happy to discuss this with a bona fide family member or researcher.
