The following information has been passed to me by the family of Reginald Arnold's (RiD1751) daughter.
"John Benham was born in 1818 in Lambeth.He married Ann Helps in 1838.
He appears in the 1841 census in Duke Street, Lambeth with wife and daughter Jane age 2.
In 1851 he and wife Ann are living at 8 GloucesterStreet, Lambeth
He appears in the 1861 census at 1 Little Lemon Court, Princes Street, Lambeth with his wife Ann.
He appears in the 1871 census at Moat Street, Battersea with his wife.
In 1881 he was living in Battersea with daughter Jane anf family, Occupation Labourer (Gas Works).
In 1891 census he is still living with his daughter Jane at 2 Haward Street, Battersea
He died in 1901 in Lambeth."
