The following information has been passed to me by the family of Reginald Arnold's (RiD1751) daughter.

 

"John Edward Hager appeared in the census of 1871 in Bedford Cottages, Battersea. He appeared in the census in 1881 at 14 Linda Street, Battersea. In 1889 he was a Horse Keeper in Battersea. In August 1919 he was a Tram Conductor in Wandsworth.He was born in june quarter 1870 in Battersea. In 1891 his family lived at 9 Bridgefield Lane, Wandsworth. John and Louisa lived at 43 Hope Street, Battersea at the time of their marriage on the 21st April 1889. They married at St John's Church, Battersea. Their marriage registraton shows the name HAGAR. In 1891 they appear in the census at 9 Bridgefield Gardens, Wandsworth. In 1901 they lived at 26 Jews Row, Wandsworth. John Edward Hager had 2 children"
