Geoffrey was not originally identified as part of the Cook-Abbott tree, as, like his father, Thomas Edward, he seems to have "lost" the COOK part of his surname (at least as far as online searches go). Original documents have not yet been examined to see if Geoffrey retained COOK as a christian name.

The connection came about when it was noticed that a Geoffrey Thomas Abbott was appointed as exectutor on the death of Thomas Edward and further investigation showed Geoffrey's mother was names DOWSON and Thomas Edward's wife was Emily DOWSON.

Further investigation is needed into the marriage and children of Geoffrey (if any)
