The 1871 census shows a Mary Glanfield living in the "ASYLUM FOR CHILDREN OF DECEASED BRITISH MERCHANT SEAMAN, WANSTEAD, ESSEX. Her age is given as 82, and she is shown as an unmarried pensioner, formally servant, born in Ipswich Suffolk. Any connection? |
This individual was identified from an 1871 census return. At the present time she has no connection to other Glanfields in the tree, but as a Glandfield born in Ipswich, and apparently the unmarried daughter of a seaman, suggests that she is some way connected to the family. Further research required.
