A tree on FamilySearch suggests that the actual date of marriage was 21st May 1877, but this is not yet confirmed. If the birth and marriage dates obtained from FamilySearch are correct then this means Maria was 15 years and 3 months old at the time of the marriage. The early marriage is probably explained by the arrival of Lizzie a month before the wedding! |
